I made an interesting discovery last night regarding the tire pressure display. I pulled it up and left it up when going home Christmas Eve. I used remote start yesterday and when I got in, the tire pressure display was still up!l after not driving for almost two days! I thought it was fixed.

When I started my truck with the button when leaving where I went yesterday, it had switched back to Trip B.

Just wanted to put this out there.

@geonerdist on my truck, the tpms gauge is set as one of the defaults. If I start the truck after a day or so, the gauge will show my trip A screen instead, but if I wait about 10 seconds, mine switches back to the tpms gauge on its own. If I release the parking brake before it reverts back, the trip gauge will stay until I set the parking brake again, and then it will switch on its own. It’s mostly consistent with my truck, but occasionally, it will just stay on the trip gauge and I’ll have to manually change it. This is a pretty rare thing, but it has happened. Definitely a weird glitch. I think I can live with it 😜, and as others have pointed out, I doubt Toyota will fix it anytime soon, unfortunately.

Driving around on job sites where the chances of getting a flat tire are fairly high, I prefer to have the tpms gauge where I can keep an eye on things like picking up a screw or nail that some dummy left laying around. I just love walking around picking up a pale’s worth of sharp metal objects and asking the guys if they know how much tires cost and showing them all the crap they leave laying in the haul roads and parking areas. Hate being “that” guy, but it’s a good reminder to clean up after themselves. We’ve stopped buying tires for people’s personal vehicles, so they learn quickly once they’ve had to replace a tire or two!

Has anyone gotten any feedback from Toyota or your dealerships from this? I've gotten as far as Toyota telling me to talk to the dealership and the dealership telling me that it's a Toyota issue. Anyone have any ideas how we can get this escalated and actually fixed. My understanding is that it's been an issue in the past with Tundras as well.

I’ve received no answers from Toyota at all. I forgot to bring it up at the dealership last time I was there.

Not sure why people keep bringing this up to Toyota. It's a known software issue lol. This is a super small issue that is way down on their backlog and will likely never be fixed.
