Well folks it's been 10 days since I totaled my Tacoma. State Farm ruled it a total loss. They sent me an estimate of 42K to repair it, but that did not include unforeseen damage including the engine which I know was damaged. I was told they repair when it's under 70% of the value. It took 8 days to get my payoff from State Farm. I decided when I bought the truck I'm Toyota for life, but having survived the 90 mph impact, I am DEFINITELY Toyota for life!!

It's kind of a bad time of year for truck shopping. The only thing I found was a white four-wheel-drive Sport hybrid. I'm just not fond of that white white compared to that windchill white that's kind of pearly looking.
When shopping, my eyes feasted upon the newly designed Land Cruiser I just could not resist and I bought the First Edition Model and it's loaded to the hilt.

I emailed the head of Southeast Toyota and sent him a copy of the video and the aftermath pictures. I have some issues that will probably stay with me the rest of my life, but for now I'm ok and thankful for my new lease on life. I'm still able to walk on the grass instead of fertilizing it with my rotting corpse.

I gave high praise to our Almighty God for delivering me from death and serious bodily injury and for giving the Toyota engineers the knowledge and ability to make such a wonderful safety system.

Lesson; GET uninsured motorist coverage, which I forgot to do. It also covers you for under insured people too. I also want to see if I can get coverage for ex amount on my vehicle so it's not depreciated again.
3 1/2 months old with 3500 miles on it and I lost 7K and I didn't pay above sticker.

I want to thank everyone for their well wishes and kind words. There's a bunch of great people on this site. I won't totally abandon it as I'd like to keep up on things for other people who have Tacoma 4G's.

So now I'll be moving on to the Land Cruiser forums. I wish good fortunes and safe driving and prosperous lives for everyone.
And I couldn't leave without posting a picture of my new baby........

Exactly. But if I knew that premium gas is required and not suggested, I would've bought a lesser model. 18 gallon gas tank.
If it was almost dead empty, it costs $18 more per tankful than if it ran on 87 octane.
Maybe I'll just top it off when it's half empty so it doesn't seem as costly. 🙄🤔
But hey, it's probably gonna be the last vehicle I ever own so might as well go out with a bang, but not the kind of bang I had with my Tacoma.

I wish you all the best with the Land Cruiser! Curious to read your thoughts, here or there, as I compare the various midsize Toyota BOF offerings.
