I highly doubt that. They are spending money on advertising, they can sell every one that ships out, and there is a whole class of buyers who want the tried and true 3rg gens that are left. I think there is something else going on here. It could be a lot of different reasons.

They sell 250k Tacoma's a year, I don't think they are trying to bottle neck that 12.5 billion dollars from rolling in.
Good point. I also don't think it's good for business or does Toyota any good for buyers to be paying outrageous ADM on the 24 Tacomas. What do they get out of that? Tacoma truck buyers are price sensitive, it's always been about value. If you can't buy it for MSRP or even close to it with the price increases already in effect, the company gets hurt in the long run versus their competitors, no?
