FML I can't believe how much they (Toyota) are making us wait. The Land Cruiser was announced after the Tacoma, but here we are - LC reviews on the 16th, Tacoma reviews a week later.
Agreed. Sitting here waiting for a year since they did the color teaser post of the different trims and we still have nothing. I was first on my dealership waitlist and now people are getting their Tacomas while I sit here waiting to hear if it will be even worth the undisclosed extra cash for me to get the iforcemax even though I wanted a long bed Off Road that has now been confirmed to be not an option for the hybrid models.

Sounds like we're twins! Had my deposit on a hybrid OR since early May last year. Also hoped for a long bed!

Will you die of old age first.. haha. I share that sentiment and sure hope that’s not the case. Need to tear up some CO trails 🌮🏔 with the Trailhunter first. I would assume/hope that the halos are at the event. That’s their PR bread and butter (or maybe we should rename it PR Tacos..)

Plus I need some extra content to keep me going for another several months before I have one parked in my garage. I’ve never bought anything that I can think of where I had to wait so long after putting money down before knowing the price, release date, and all the details. It’s odd in a sense, but I am still super excited and I’m confident the wait will be worth it.

I gave up waiting on the hybrid as well as realized while the trailhunter was a sweet trim, I just won't use it for overlanding enough to justify it. My TRD OR Premium non-hybrid goes down the production line today.

Agree! I’m also first on my dealership’s wait list. Is there a chance the iForce Max versions are released for model year 2025 only (no 2024) now?

No, the hybrid builds are already being allocated for May, so it is starting up right away. Actually curious if the ones at the media event are production models instead of prototypes.

FYI- Hybrid is going to use PREMIUM unleaded. I searched TIS (Toyota Tech Site) for a VIN# (Landcruiser) and the specs say premium. Not sure if the extra mpg is worth it.

That’s the first time I’ve heard that. I know for sure the Tundra doesn’t require premium.
