Got a new boat today and the Tacoma pulled it without any issues. Could hardly feel it was there.

I also didn’t have the trailer issue on the dash I’ve seen other people reporting. Unhooked the trailer, drove around for a bit and the pop up asking if a trailer was connected happened. Answered “Yes” the trailer is NOT connected and all of my extra safety features turned back on. 🤷‍♂️

I entered the trailer specifications on the dash and tested the back up assist. Everything worked amazing! Averaged 17.5mpg towing, 20mpg normally.

Towing efficiency is largely about aerodynamics. Usually you won't see a huge MPG hit if the trailer or what you're towing is close to the bed height / shorter than the cab. 17+ is impressive. I'm usually in the 14s but my trailer is over 9ft tall.

Nice boat !

Forget about the truck, how did the boat ride?

Good to hear. Just towed a 3500+ lbs Aquasport center console about 150 miles down to Islamorada with my 2024 TRD Offroad. Amazing performance, better than my old 2007 Tundra with a lighter bay boat. Took a minute to understand the Tow/Haul messaging, changes to the transmission, etc. Overall very solid feel at highway speeds; acceleration, braking and suspension handled the load well.
