I couldn't find info about what battery size the new Tacoma's use, so I was at the dealer and snapped some photos!
The stock battery (in the non-hybrids) is "395LN4-MF", it's an 80 Ah battery with 689 CCA. I couldn't find many references to this battery online, my best guess is it's "Group 49" or "Group 48" size? It's definitely not one of the typical normal old sizes.
As for mounting a second battery, it seems like there's quite a bit of space to work with. Here's a further back photo. Sounds like there's one or two companies working on a dual battery mount setup that would let you add a Group 24 battery alongside the stock battery.
