Finished the chrome delete on my 4G.

20" Tundra wheels
OEM color-matched mirror covers
OEM "Limited" badge covers
Black Chrome Exhaust
OEM "TACOMA" tailgate inserts
Plasti-dip rear door handle surround
Black ABS door handle covers

I didn't bother with the front grill. I'm ok with this portion of the Limited. I did install a Rough Country hidden-winch.

FYI

I was thinking I'd get a set of those limited/platinum 6gen 4runner wheels for mine once they get out, I'm sure someone will want to put customs on

Looks great, hoping to do something similar on my limited. Couple of questions if you don't mind.

  • How is the performance/ride quality with the 20's off the Tundra? Any less compliant, issues with gearing, rubbing, etc?
  • Did you look into replacing the door handles with body color matches pieces? Wasn't sure if you went with the covers because of a preference, or because the OEM color match handles were too expensive.
Thanks!

Ride is great on the Tundra 20". Tires are 33", 1" taller than the stock 32. No rubbing or any other issues. Bolt-on replacement.

Door handles were a matter of convienence. Replacing them requires door panel removal. I might get around to that, especially once we get some good DIY instructions specific to the Tacoma.
