I used to get a consistent 19-21 around town and some highway. The last month it's a struggle to get 18. I'm assuming winter fuel and using heated seats and heater/blower is the cause.

This morning!

using sport mode on highway. Truck has 980 miles and 285/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT4W tires.
Tried eco mode - ok ok mpg. Normal mode not too bad. Sport mode big difference.

the average is 17.6 and I haven’t reset it yet.

the pic is from this morning.

At just around 2k on my TH, my combined seems to hover around 19 and my highway is 20-23. Pretty good for something this heavy and brick shaped stock.

City mpg is a crapshoot because I live in a hilly part of town, so it’s either a 6mpg ride or I’m gliding downhill through stoplights on just the hybrid battery and doing upper 20s. No changes to wheels or tires or added weight just yet. That’s coming soon and I’m sure it will drop me by 2-4mpgs? We shall see. I drive mostly in normal mode. Sometimes eco.

On my recent road trip to the Mojave I averaged mid 20s for almost the entire thing.

I still don’t like the size of the fuel tank. It’s too tiny!! Gah. This thing basically a full size truck and yet it has the fuel tank of a mid sized suv 😝

I wonder if anyone’s tried seeing if the tundra tank will fit under there yet? Maybe not a 5’ bed but those of us with a 6’ could luck out maybe. Who knows.

Around town with equipment and the smartcap been getting 22ish. First road trip with a ton of family stuff and the decked drawer installed (it was very full of heavy stuff) got 22.6 first fill up which on this trip is hilly with some city and 25.2 on the second half. Not bad at all.

I’m getting a consistent 23-24MPG in mixed highway and city driving in the mountains of Tennessee (normal mode). TRD Sport Hybrid, roughly 600 miles on the ODO, so early results. All stock at this point, customizations and additions coming after the new year I’m sure.

I did fill up with 89 midgrade and it seemed to make a slight difference. Perhaps it’s winter fuel blend, but I was getting 20-22 before the midgrade switch.

I've got approximately 2200 miles on my iForce Max. I commute roughly 25-30 miles (depending on the route) and I'd say my experience is almost identical to what CATOY is reporting. The best mpg I've seen is around 20.5, but my normal, mixed driving average is around 19.2. Not terrible, but certainly not the 24 mpg I was hoping to get.

Love this truck. Sure would like a larger gas tank, though. The range limitations are a bummer.

So I have had my '24 Taco TRD OR for about a week now and hit 1k miles on a trip to CO and back to NM. I am getting like 18 MPG on the highway at 75. Is there a break-in period, will it get more efficient over time?

I've put about 3.5k miles (it's at 5.5k miles) on my SR5 and unless I'm remote starting it all the time I get about 22 mpg, roughly 350-400 miles per tank

I saw a mpg improvement at about 1,500 miles, so yours could still improve. Winter fuel formulations are here now too, and that always lowers mpg.

Owners report a wide range of fuel mileage for 4th gens, particularly with the hybrids. What @Mako_Shark27 reports seems to be pretty average for non-hybrids, but some people get 25 mpg or more. It is kind of nuts IMO.

I suspect the true controlling variable is speed. I live in central Texas and we don’t go anywhere less than 75-80mph (traffic permitting). If I take the toll road to work my speed is easily 85+ for much of the commute. Amazing how much my mileage improves when I take drives where speeds don’t exceed 50mph. Good thing gas is cheap in Texas.

At 85mph, I'm getting 17.5mpg

At 75mph, I'm getting around 20.3mpg

These are both in eco mode.
Are you like me and treat it like a game? Trying to make the number go up like a high score?
