I had ceramic tint on my last vehicle and I received dealer/3rd party installed tint on the my 2024 dealer lot inventory purchase (I negotiated to have the tint charge removed).

I could immediately tell on the drive home that it was not premium ceramic tint. I could feel the heat rejection was not as strong.

I plan of having the cheap window tint removed and have it replaced with ceramic window film.

Heat reduction and the tint guys LOVE to sell you ceramic. Their margins are about double that of regular tint. Cost to them is not much more for the tint, the labor time is the same and they can charge a lot more for ceramic.

ceramic all the way , it really is better as that will save your interior plastic & leather if u plan on keeping the truck long term.
UV is needed but that does nothing for radiate sun exposure , that burns like sunburn on skin , dries out plastics,leather,fabrics

No. They add dye to the glass and color it.

It’s always aftermarket for the Tacoma.

There is no comparison between the traditional window tinting and ceramic. I live in the desert in Scottsdale, Arizona, and have been tinting windows on my cars for a very long time. The ceramics take out the heat, cooling the car, reducing any intensity in the cabin, etc. Well worth it.

Well that is a bit of an exaggeration. It does not "take out the heat and cool" the car. It is still hotter than hell after sitting in the sun for a long time it just cuts out A LOT and if in a very hot summer place ceramic is worth it. If not in the extreme hit, flip a coin if you want to spend the extra money.

It is not even close… “A flip of the coin“? … It’s a game changer. Spend the extra money and I guarantee you’ll be happier. I drove an hour to work and back from work for the past 45 years in Phoenix and Scottsdale and had both types of tinting…and I will never go back to traditional tinting. My 2024 Tacoma Trd pro is tinted with 15% ceramic (which is the amount of visible light… DARK)…And I’m loving it!
