Hi everyone! Looking to lift my TRD OR between 1 and 2". The two options in considering are a preload collar lift like Peak Suspension has (just the collar, not top spacer), or the All Dogs Off-road spring lift kit. All Dogs would probably give a slightly higher lift, but that's okay. My question is, what are some opinions on one vs another, pros, cons, etc? Thanks! (Also would be either installing the rear spacer if I go with peak, or the rear springs with All Dogs, as I plan to keep the rake).

Check out the video Running 4 tacos. Put out on the All Dogs Springs. Personally, I wouldn't go with a spacer lift because it limits your travel. I just got done. Putting a full king suspension Lift on my taco and absolutely love it. I picked it up from running for tacos, and they are very helpful.

Thanks! I Don't want a spacer lift in terms of the top hat space. If I don't go spring lift, it would be a preload collar lift.

Coller or spacer, neither are as desirable as a proper spring lift.

Spring if you can afford it, collar if you can’t.

Pretty sure the ADO spring lift is actually a bit less work than the preload collars as there’s nothing to disassemble on the shock shaft beyond the top hat nut.

Functionally, a preload spacer and a longer spring are going to do the exact same thing. Unless you want a different spring rate due to a lot of extra weight, I can’t see any reason to buy new springs over a preload spacer. Both options will reduce your shock travel though, however, the TRD off road model has extra travel for the sway bar disconnect option due to the remote reservoirs.

With the integral bump stops on the new generation shocks, the downside to a top hat spacer is now gone too. You also won’t lose any shock travel with a top hat spacer. Provided your stock ball joint angles aren’t too out of whack.
