We'll likely be purchasing a 24 Tacoma next year. We will be using it as our Tow Vehicle for a smaller A-Liner Camper. Primarily we will be doing a lot of trips towing the A-Liner Camper. We currently have a RAV4 Prime with an inverter and we power our camper, so we will need the Hybrid Max. In regards to the trim which one should I be leaning towards?

I think the only thing I like better on the Sport is the look (sort of a chrome delete option) and the hood scoops are cool.

But the limited should be a lot better of a highway cruiser with it's variable suspension and heated/ventilated seats.

Also.. don't know if the wireless trailer camera system will be available on the sport or not.

Appreciate any feedback !!

We also have an Aliner and will be purchasing the Limited trim with the iForceMAX. Coming from an MDX Advance model which has all the options, the Limited comes very close to the same options. The two things the Tacoma Limited wonā€™t have is remote start and power folding mirrors.

No remote start? What Toyota corporate dweeb decided that was a good move?

The 2023 Tundra Limited has it, as did the prior generation Tundra.

Is Toyota signaling that besides being more compact, the new Tacoma is considered a "lesser" vehicle?

Hey Terry!! Nice to meet you.. Yeah I can't wait for our new tow vehicle next year. My wife love our RAV4 Prime.. and she's not excited. I just like that I won't have to be so conscious of weight all the time. We have a 2022 classic with hard dormers and permanent bed.

Not sure where that may have been confirmed already, I havenā€™t seen any details. Iā€™d highly doubt the Limited wouldnā€™t come with remote start, that seems to be a pretty standard feature nowadays for high trims if not medium ones too.

How much power does your camper need, I think this will have 2400W

Nice! Ours is a 2022 LXE with two hard dormers. Just put Goodyear Endurance tires on it for peace of mind plus they have a much higher speed rating vs. original China bomb tires. Get all 3 wheels balanced if you havenā€™t already done so!

Okay, let me rephrase that. I have not read or watched anything that indicates a remote start built into the key fob.ā€¦yet. However, they are sure to have a service which you can purchase a subscription that will allow you to start the vehicle with your smartphone.

another item I have not seen or heard about is ā€œhomelinkā€, can anyone confirm if this will be included on the Limited?

Interesting, I'm in Canada my 2019 Tundra Crewmax didn't come with remote start.

I currently power most of it on just 1500W, so 2400 will be overkill. But it will be nice to have.

For sure.. I bought the endurance as a spare. if/when another tire goes out, the both will be endurance tires. Here's my youtube video on the importance of balancing tires. I do a lot of youtube content on the A-Liner stuff. Will be starting to create content on the tacoma.

Thanks for that, I hadnā€™t thought about subscription & phone. Iā€™d assume itā€™s built Into the fob on higher trims, until proven otherwise for sure. I forget other manufacturers charge subscription fees for stuff Iā€™m used to getting with the vehicle purchase, such as smartphone remote start (which is worth every penny of the free price I paid for it, I wouldnā€™t be without it on the fob).

By subscription you can remote start by your phone. From your FOB press the lock button 3 times and on the 3rd time hold the lock button down for about 3-4 seconds and it will start.

OP, you can go with the non hybrid option as well. The fact that you have to power an inverter should not make a difference unless you think you will be able to tap into the hybrid battery's power when the truck is not running.
