Saw this demo today in Ontario. Surprised to see it on the lot based on all the “delay” updates. Hopefully I can make an appointment for a test drive.

My sales guy in Nova Scotia texted me this past Friday and said my Sport+ should be arriving early April...and their demo Sport is in Montreal waiting to be shipped. Maybe here this week.

Alberta lol, but if Ontario's getting their demo cars, Alberta should soon eventually roll around.

I saw on here mid-week that the dealer in St. John, New Brunswick had one on the lot so I dropped by my dealer in St. John's, NL to test drive a 2024 Highlander in case the Tacoma doesn't make the cut with the wife.

The sales lady I'm dealing with showed me in the system that their first "demo/test" unit is currently in Montreal and will be at the dealership in 1-2 weeks. It's a Blue Crush Metallic TRD Sport which is the model I'm waiting on.

She confirmed they have 40+ Tacoma deposits in total with four on the same model that I want and only one has been allocated. I have two more ahead of me so I'm thinking months out, but that'll get me past the Newfoundland Winter so I don't have to buy snow tires until next season.

It's a weird feeling dropping in to the showroom every week and just trying to be inconspicuous while "pretend" looking at other models until my salesperson is free long enough to ask the latest status. I'm sure every dealership and salesman are getting bombarded with questions the longer that models don't make it to the lots. I think they recognize me now :-(

Are those Toyota OEM side steps installed as a PIO or installed by dealer?

I feel the same as you...I shouldn't...This will be my 3rd Tacoma since Nov 2019.I don't bother dropping in..I just text my salesperson at least once a week for updates.

The Premiums do have running boards included..but I don't think it is the Predator steps in the pic. There is a more expensive board type model available.

Has anyone had a close in person look at any of these in Canada? I'm not close enough to go and see any.

I'm curious as to what actual button/switches are on the console and to the left of the steering column in our models, specifically the sport models, premium if there are any out there.

No updates from my dealer. They are still saying February for the first shipment.

Assuming the first chance I will get to see it will be at the Toronto Auto Show
