Thanks for a really nice summary of your new Off-Road. I have one arriving here in about 2-3 weeks, and it does come with a premium package as well. I'll attach the description, and would be interested how yours compares overall. You've covered a lot; can you say anything about the digital rearview? This is a really niggly little question: is it set up for remote garage door and gate openers? My 2020 Tacoma TRD Sport didn't have that option--that's why I'm having to upgrade to the 2024 haha. Thanks.
Yours has a lot more options than mine. Mine only has the premium package. I may install mud flaps at a later date if I start seeing rock chips behind the wheel openings as I have a long commute on rough roads here in California. The one surprise was that my Tacoma script on the doors is black, as first aid kit and two accessories pig tails along with wheel locks came with the car at no extra charge.

Clear paint protection works well in lieu of flaps. Flaps are gay...lol.

Wow that's a lot of great photos! Thanks for letting us live vicariously! A few things I've noticed and a few questions:

-It appears that TRD OR base packages don't get the under hood insulation while the premium package does.

-The gas tank skid only covers the front half of the gas tank.

-The front skid plates look like they have some rough unfinished edges?

-It has a "temporary use only" non-matching spare tire, does it look like there is space for a larger spare? Say a 285/70/r17?

-Does the premium package include the bed mounted air compressor?

-Are the rear arm rests padded in the premium package?

My armrests are padded and the grab handle has a sticky surface for good grip. No compressor, I did think that it was coming with a wireless trailer camera. I will check to see if a bigger spare will fit, I’m guessing it should if it’s the same height and just a wider tire. The skid plate is some kind of plastic and I didn’t pay attention to how smooth the edges were. I will try to take some better pictures soon. I already forget if mine has the insulation under the hood without seeing my pictures or looking at the truck. I quickly lifted the hood the other day to the a look, I need to go back in there and check the engine oil level. The hood is an average weight, some have said it’s lighter and the two choices for the rod really don’t look like they make a huge difference. The drive shaft seems mostly hollow and thin even though it looks pretty beefy. There’s a ton of body filler/glue and several connectors underneath. You can see the filler in some of the pictures. There are connectors everywhere from front to back.

Thanks for the info! Great pics! I think the skid plate is composite. I have a Silver OR Premium coming, In fact, my sales guy called me today that the truck was due today and they were going to get it ready, I need to run down to College Station Wednesday and switch trucks with my son and will make the trade in with his 2019 SR5 on Friday... Hopefully!

That’s great news, I’m sure you will love it. I’m also curious as to what extra items you get as I received a few extra things I wasn’t expecting. The back and most of the tank doesn’t have any protection and they do list the front skid plate as a composite material, I think that’s just fancy for plastic. I will eventually get the pro one that TRD if that’s all it says. These look much better without the front air dam.

35 mile trip to work today was smooth. Won’t know fuel mileage until I fill up the tank and run through it as I have no idea how hard the dealer romped on it for those first three miles before I got my hands on it. Lots of white smoke when I started her up in the cold this morning, went away after 15 seconds. I drove most of my commute using the adaptive cruise control and it drove 90% of the way. I still need to make the proper adjustments to keep a safer following distance. It was nice not to touch the gas or brake most of the way on my stop and go commute. Lane assist worked for most of the trip even though there’s tons of construction and the road markings aren’t the best. Still having some sales with the sound system that I need to work through. Volume level 42 is about its limit and it kept switching to what sounded like one speaker to all so I need to figure that all out. The suspension is a little on the stiff side in the rough roads here in California, I actually prefer that to a softer ride. Need to get use to the rear view mirror and distances as it looks as if the person behind me is under my bed.

Love that large screen and the 360 view! So useful! Mine will have the dash cam, hopefull it is user friendly & the Toyota app works well. I currently use a garmin now and was thinking of using it for the back? I wish we could add a ssd and record from all the camera at once. Tesla has that feature and it is so useful IMO.

You can see how far back the car is behind me on the right of the screen and then see what it looks like in the mirror. That’s a huge difference that you need to get use to. The digital mirror was hard to get use to the first couple times driving and is okay now.

Yes, two small LED’s in each dome light and the visors have nice ones.
