Yeah I think the stock TRD OR wheels have a +55mm offset.

The 1/2” poke from the KO3s on 35mm offset is really just the tire shoulder -> sidewall. The main tread is flush with the fender.
That was the information we got from Discount Tire. I ended up with +44 OZ Racing Wheels.

Its a good look, I like the 35 offset fit. I would only level it.

That is one sharp-looking Tacoma. The wheel offset is conservative, which I like. Amazing how new wheels and larger tires can transform a pretty pedestrian factory OR setup into something that looks (and presumably is) so much more capable. And aggressive. And expensive.

Looking to buy a 4th Gen taco soon.
Hi folks, my name is Bill and I’m a proud owner of a 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-road Premium (Black). My build date was 12/2023. I took delivery of my truck on 2/16/24.

I’ll be posting updates of mods on this thread.

Here are a few mods so far -

Tires: 285/70/R17 BFG KO3 Load range: C
(Thanks to the guys @Discount Tire)
  • The new KO3s are fantastic. The truck feels much more planted over the stock tires.
  • Steering - IMO the steering was too light with the stock tires. Personal preference but the steering feels much more assertive and positive with the KO3s + increased tire size/weight.
  • Road noise - The increase in road noise is negligible.
  • Ride quality - I was expecting the ride quality to suffer with bigger/heavier tires, but I actually observed the opposite. The ride quality is improved perhaps because of the higher silica content in the KO3s.
  • No rubbing!
  • I’ll follow up re - long term performance / wet weather (should be improved due to new sipe pattern)
A couple differences to note (KO2 vs KO3)
  • KO3s are ~6 lbs heavier than KO2s in the same Load Range C (56 lbs vs 50.33 lbs)
  • KO3s should have improved wet road performance due to new sipe pattern/depth (In theory)
  • KO3s should have improved cold weather performance (likely due to more silica content so they remain pliable in cold temps) (In theory)
AFAIK, only (2) sizes are available for KO3s (285/70/R17 Load Range C and 275/65/R20 Load Range E) More tire sizes are expected in Spring/Summer 2024.

Wheels: Method 703 17x8.5 35mm offset
  • With 35mm offset, I measured 1/2” of poke (See photos). Perfect IMO

Tint: 30% All around (FormulaOne Stratos) | 90% front windshield (Llumar Air clear)

---

Mods (on the way)
Mods (planned)
  • Suspension lift - TBD (Most likely the OEM TRD lift when it becomes available)
  • Roof rack - Prinsu Pro (Still shopping around)
  • Dual battery / or other power system (TBD)
I’ll add more details when I’m at my computer. (Currently on the new Tacoma4G app. It is 100% worth downloading)

Truck looks good! How has the performance and gas mileage been affected from the extra weight?

I have the same truck, minus the predator steps. I think you've helped me decide on wheels and tires, this looks great. Did you give any consideration to the Gloss Titanium Grey MR703? I wish I could find a picture of a black 4th gen with those on, just to make the final decision.

Nice Truck. I purchased a white TRD-Off Road premium a couple months ago. If you don't mind sharing, how did you mount the weboost amplifier?

Check amazon before you order. I was able these Methods in Black from Amazon for $287 a wheel (plus I get 5% back with my Amazon Credit Card). But I didn't see the titanium color either. I considered it but ended up going with black.
