Since your reply’s are so detailed, any chance you looked into the prewired aux switches and how accessories hook up to them?
Here's ares some pictures of the three cables and some of the info in the bags. Looks like these connect to connectors in the kick panel and underneath the truck near the frame rails

Yeah it’s one of the most added accessories for a lot of owners. I hated punching through the boot in the firewall.

Thanks for the detailed review and excellent write-up. Pity about the spare.

I was debating between the Hybrid or non Hybrid version. It seems the Non Hybrid is enough to tow up Mtn passes from the TFL IKE Gauntlet Challenge. I also would prefer to keep the storage under the seat. I plan on test driving one next week which will help me decide. I know you haven't driven a Hybrid, but do you think the non Hybrid provides sufficient power for anything you want to do?

Is there any storage room behind the rear seats. I saw what was under the seats.

Edit- The Tacoma TRD Off Road would be to augment my Land Cruiser not replace it. It would be more of a daily driver and sometime offroad for local easier trails. The 200 is a beast and can go anywhere and easily tow my camper

There is extremely limited space behind the seat, especially if you get the sub woofer back there. The tire jack is on the other side and I wouldn’t expect to be able to put anything there. As far as under the seat, it is also very limited? I keep my accessory cables that came with the ruck along with the package the locking lug nuts and the first aid kit on one side. The other has even less room due to some sort of box. The power is much better and responsive than the V6 my 2001 4Runner had. I haven’t beet on it yet as I am still trying to figure out what the best range and MPG I can squeeze out of it which is around 300 miles and 21mpg in my stop and go 60 mile daily commute. It is very responsive in sport mode and I don’t see why anyone would complain as it’s a mid size truck and not a sports car. The one thing that worried me about the TFL video was the transmission temperature. I will try to take some better pictures of the storage space behind and under the rear seat in the next day or so.

the tranny temp had me worried, but the one they checked it was a 14% grade and the steepest hill in the world from what I read. I would never tow there. The Ike challenge was on a 7% grade and they were really pushing it trying to maintain 60. With my 200 I am comfortable at 50-55 up that hill as I don't want to overheat it. It would have been great to have had a tranny temp reading there.

BTW I always get rid of the locking lug nuts. Pain on the trail changing a tire. Do they come with regular nuts and one locking as extras?

Does that sub woofer come with a paticular trim package or is it a stand alone add-on ? I'm waiting on a Sport MT 4WD with the "premium" package and I do not want a sub woof behind the seat. I need that storage space.

If you filled up three times with about 15 gallons and the gauge shows less than 10 miles of range left, does that mean there is still about 3 gallons of fuel left in the tank as a reserve? I've never had a more modern vehicle that shows mileage and range before. Maybe I'm not understanding and just want to learn. Thanks.

Thank you. Well that ruined my plans to add a lightweight camper:( I guess I’ll never believe what I read online again.
The 1710 is for the PreRunner, not the Crew Cab models. Less Metal, ;less glass, no back seat, etc... frees up some weight.

No, it's part of a few different packages with premium audio ... and yes, the premium package will have it. I'm getting a Decked system for mine... at least I think I am right now.

Here’s my latest data from my fill yesterday. Seems like 300 for my drives is what I can expect for range and you can see I drive it close to the end of the range. I am assuming there is still at least three gallons left in the tank as my consumption has typically been around 15 or less gallons.

4.56 a gallon ouch! I have confirmed that when you hit 0 range you have about two gallons left in the tank. I have driven to 350 in both my tanks and still had .6 and .9 gallons left in the tank. First tank of gas at costco was $2.70/gallon and the 2nd was $3.02 gallon

Costco is 80 cents cheaper than the Chevron around the corner and sadly their head quarters are down the street. I’m not sure of the fuel pump is internal or external, always heard you don’t want to run the tank too low if the fuel pump is internal due to heating issues.

Mine came with locking nuts. Like you, I take them off. Mine did not come with the extra nuts so I'll have to buy 4 at some point.
