It is still a free country last time I checked. Your anger needs to be directed to the individual dealership, Not Toyota. The solution is rather simple, don’t patronize that dealer🤷

My deposit is with this dealer and it was offered to me at MSRP and I declined. It has some hefty options like a $3K ARB rack that I didn't want. Hard to pass up a 6' bed tho...

The PIO's I didn't want on mine were able to be taken off. I had the roof rack, body moldings and ppf on the front bumper. I asked the salesman if they can take them off and last night he sent me the updated allocation with them not on there.

It's not anger. It's disgust at the greed. if everyone turned a blind eye to bad behavior the world would be a much worse place.

I thought I wanted a 6' bed until I saw a couple in person. They're definitely more useful, but it makes the truck profile look weird, imo.

Interesting. I saw a 5 foot TH in person and felt the opposite. To me that rack just doesn’t look right on such a short bed.

Ya, it's subjective. I haven't seen one with a rack. I wouldn't ever use a rack so not on my radar.

Can’t fault a dealer wanting to make a profit, like it or not. Like I said before DON’T PATRONIZE.

“$7500 ripoff markup. FU! Toyota should never allow this.”

Just because they advertise a mark-up doesn’t mean there isn’t room to negotiate. Always be stern and put your foot down when negotiating a vehicle. In the end of the day you’re trying to get a truck and they’re trying to make a sale. Even on these trucks. If anything the high MSRPs will help with that negotiating process because I’m sure it pushed a few (or many) out of the market

Yeah he said they can put in a request to Toyota and then its up to them if they want to change it. He said usually if they request it early enough they usually do it. My truck says it will be available between 7/11-8/08.
