Honest opinion of sound between the two......how much different does the JBL sound to the standard radio and speakers ?

Never heard the standard, but the JBL is nothing special. The sub works good, but the removeable front speaker overpowers the other speakers. If Toyota didn't do their pkg pricing system, I would have spent the money at an actual audio store and got something decent.

Yes, I noticed this today. I finally popped in the removable JBL. And it’s too much treble. If I pop the button to release it, it sounds better. What gives… is there a way to disable the removable speaker when it’s plugged in!?

I turned down the midrange slider on the EQ a click or two and it is much better.

I don't think so. The speaker has volume controls on it which I was hoping would be functional while in the truck, but they are not.

I’ll try that. Thx

I hear ya, just something we have to live with, adjust EQ settings, or keep the speaker unplugged.
