Wow came back for the first time in months bc I was notified of this reply. Ultimately I was disappointed in the Tacoma offering, and decided that for Halo money, I’d rather have a built-in-Japan Land Cruiser. Never looked back after that and got my LC a month ago with no markups.

They really might be junk because Ford is currently spending $35 million a day on warranty costs. There have to be a lot of problems to add up to those kinds of costs.

My black flares won't be going on day 1 or any other day, but they will get PPF. Any TRD Pro that looks brand new after a few years of use was not used as intended. It was used as a vanity piece for someone who just wants to look like a trail runner, but is afraid to get their shiny toy dirty.

And if they do get pinstripes it will be fine, serious off roader such as myself see them as a badge of honor. Toyota off road trucks are tools for going places in the wild, not a fancy sports car to be locked away in a vault. I have the fancy sports cars, but my Tacos are meant to be and will be properly used.

Well…it’s been 3 months 😂
That’s because there’s a big markup on it.

I live near there and have seen that same one month ago.

its not as simple as some are making it out to be to find a raptor at msrp.

meh...they're for whatever the person who buys it wants it to be for. No one should tell someone else how to use their toys.

@av8r I never had any intention of telling anyone what to do with their vehicle. Stash it in a vault or drive it off a cliff - makes no difference to me.

I was just stating what traditional Tacoma buyers have long valued in these trucks. They have always been functional machines which many of us have loved for years because of their utility. For them to have become toys that are too precious to use seems very odd to this long time Taco driver.

Over on my Yamaha YZFR1 forum there is thing with the guys that go to the track or race there R1. Some kind of badge of courage or if your only on the street your not really using your bike. They are all sold with license plates fully street legal. Some street/canyon carve others lower and drag race some just build trick show bikes and some race/track there R1. Is that what’s going to happen here? If your not hardcore off road trail driving your just on the street not using your fully capable off road truck. I mean no offense but I have seen this type of thing with a couple different style motorcycles that I have tried to join a group of. Would the most experienced seasoned hardcore off-road 4G Tacoma owners not be the best source of knowledge for the beginner or first time owner?

Definitely. I am just having a hard time watching a truck that has always been valued as an off road warrior becoming the darling of the look at me, aren't I cool set. I will just step away - no offense so anyone here.
