I’m curious as to how Toyota assigns the VIN numbers as I have seen some VIN numbers higher then mine that were built in December or January while mine was built this month and is in the 600 range. Mine has a build date of 0224 and the VIN number is in the 600 range. Anyone else care to post...
My tires were 40psi when I picked it up form the dealer, that was the first thing I checked and set when I performed PDI’s on Toyotas in the mid 80’s. We had to install trim rings, mirrors, check all fluid levels, pull the cardboard from the disk breaks and undercoat them along with multiple...
Took a look at my truck to confirm that it does indeed have the shutter and it does. There also appears to possibly be a sensor that measures the temperature there too. Here are some pictures of the sensor and the shutter in the open position.
I agree as they list engine start and stop in the tabs. It difficult to see it on my phone. Will need to check the website on my computer. You would think that the limited would have its own numbers since it’s an all wheel drive system different from ours.
Several of the early reviewers mentioned that the large volume button for the 14” display version of the JBL sound system was big to allow folks with gloves to easily adjust the volume. I find it’s a perfect size and easy to use and find while driving. You can also see how dusty the HVAC...
Want to add one more point as most of the early reviewers made notice of the large volume button for the 14” screen optioned JBL sound systems. The size is perfect to me and I don’t think it’s all that large. It feels normal adjusting the volume with my bare hands, wish they had a second one for...
I like the system in the Tacoma, it does do quite a bit of braking or downshifting when everything is turned on. I leave everything on and try to drive with the adaptive cruise control as much as possible. I am very happy with the system so far and it is much better than the one in our 2021...
How is the turbo cooled, is there an intercooler and is it air or liquid? Poking around in the engine bay, there are two large hoses on either side of the engine that rout to the front radiator area. They are soft to the touch as if they are for air and don’t feel like a regular radiator hose...
It does not pick up or start again if you are stopped in traffic for more than a couple seconds. It’s pretty good for stop and go traffic. You just need to keep an eye out to make sure it’s active. I’m assuming it would stop if you were about to hit another vehicle, it gets pretty close and I...
There’s a button where the accessory buttons are in the lower left section near the streering wheel. Only options are on or off. I have been leaving mine on, it doesn’t take much for them to switch to high.
I agree, it’s sort of misleading to call it a full size spare when it’s clearly marked temporary. I think most will assume it’s the same exact size and that you can drive with it as usual which is not true.
It's crazy on how many connectors there are on these trucks, I spotted numerous connectors under the truck and wonder how they will handle harsh off road conditions, power washing and road grime.
Blind Spot Monitor
I like having the BSM and have a couple other cars with it. I prefer the system in my 2021 Mercedes GLE450 where it lights up red and makes an audible noise and the one in my 2013 Lexus GS350 that lights up brightly. The one in the Tacoma is not as bright as my others yet...
