Toyota isn't unionized but I bet a lot of their suppliers are. I don't work in automotive but a lot of our suppliers who also sell to Detroit are having shutdowns to manage inventory and it's having an impact on getting parts to our line.

I keep seeing those pictures of the back seat and I'm convinced they have to be showing the front seats pushed all the way back. There's no way they could sell a truck with a back seat with that little of leg room.

It's really hard to say where the 24 prices end up. If you look at the Tundra as a measuring stick everything went up about the same across the board I think so I am guessing Tacoma will be a similar price bump but the hybrid powertrain and those isodynamic seats won't be free.

Tundra has it as an option.

You guys waiting on the Ranger PHEV are going to be waiting a while. Everything I read on it is that it's a Europe and Australia only option. Ford doesn't seem to be too interested in selling it here since we have the Lightning and the Maverick.

TRD pro msrp is $48k here's the price with options for the TRD off road speced out similar to the pro. Keep in mind you still have to pay labor to get that lift kit installed.

Just to pile onto that if you spec out a '23 trd OR with the premium interior and factory lift you're already at the base price for the trd pro so why wouldn't you just get the pro?

My understanding is that the Pro and TH get different suspension setups/lifts. The only thing common between them is the amount of lift. I would think that they way the Fox setup vs the OME setup would perform different. Do we know if you spec a factory installed lift which one you're getting...

That's what's pushing me towards wanting a trailhunter instead of a pro. I will use my backseat to haul a teenaged kid or two around and those fancy seats look like they're going to eat up a lot of leg room.

A PHEV would be a nice option but I don't see it happening anytime soon. You need all the same stuff you need for a BEV in terms of an onboard charger and DC-DC converter on top of the battery. That stuff minus the battery will add another $10k to the sticker price. Getting people to pay for...
