I got around to installing mine today, easy and great instructions. One question I have is, the hood has to close pretty hard it seems. Before Iād just drop the hood and the weight would close it.
This is normal I hope. I didnāt do anything else.
Also they lift the hood higher than the prop...
I would have, but Iād have to give up a foot of box length. In the end the truck usefulness won out over my desire for a 3rd pedal.
And I have my Mk7.5. Gti for when my left foot feels the itch.
Less than 1% failure rate Iām estimating currently, Iām not worried and have warranty. If not happy with my first Toyota Iāll go back to GM.
My ā98 Yukon was sold at 250k miles (400k km) with no major issues, my ā98 Silverado 4x4 was sold at over 180k miles (289k km). Both had original motor...
Iāve usually had the stick on ones with no issues. Many years ago I had in channel ones for my Ram but I found they made a āthunkā when they went up. And I feel they were scratching the glass. I am still deliberating what to get for my Tacoma.
I have the cloth seats with grey, only option on my model. So far happy with them except this little flap that keeps getting ticked under the plastic seat partā¦ anybody else get this?
When would you change the oil for the 1st time?
I want to change it at 1000-1500 miles. Then on a regular schedule of 5000 miles.
I was told Toyota uses a special break in oil that has to be in for a certain amount of time?
Old school break-in you change the oil out on a new engine within...
I get it OP, I agree except on the colours part. I love my Solar Octane. And donāt mind the fan boiās, most of them are cruising around the city with 5ā beds and criticizing a Maverick bed for being 4ā shorter š.
I got lucky, a dealer that worked with me and I got in on the second allocation...
Lol, I was thinking hmm maybe should have bought the GMC Sierra I wanted and paid the higher gas costs. š¤
But I think once you get some miles on it youāre safe. Likely this issue pops up within 10,000 miles or earlier.
VINās with some manufacturers do not necessarily mean they were built in sequence. For example, Canadian trucks could get assigned a bunch of VINs that are earlier numbered VINs but the production run happens after a run of US/Mexico bound trucks.
I do not know if thatās how it works but be...
It says market USA and Mexico. I assume it is for Canada too? Or is that a different market and VIN range?
To my recollection, a TSB is not a recall but a procedure when a failure happens. Makes it quicker for dealers to default to warranty and what to do.
Also the VINs in the range are...
It is the range that may be affected. Lookup your VIN up to the last six numbers. If your last six numbers are smaller than the one on the sheet, then you are part of this TSB. It does not mean yours will fail, just that it may as it happens to be within the range and this is the fix.
If...
