    Hybrid aftermarket exhaust options?

I hear you. Everyone seems pretty weak when it comes to stating hybrid or not. I ordered a transfer case skid plate last July, but I'm now realizing it probably won't fit. I've got a pile of parts sitting in my garage, just waiting for the temps to rise above freezing (or at least a bit more)...

    Trailhunter Hybrid high pitched noise

Well, there you go, it seems to be inherent to the truck design. I listened several times and believe I heard the noise your referring to but it's too faint to really pinpoint it. I'd like to know under what conditions does the noise happen? All the time? Is the engine running and so on.

TSB: Hybrid Tacoma Now Included in Transmission Failure Issues & Replacement (October 2024)

I can't say anything bad at all. The shifts are quick and crisp. Now that it's broken in and I'm used to the power and handling, I'm really starting to enjoy it. But now that I've mentioned that...

    2024 vs 2025

You are extremely fortunate to know someone with insider knowledge who can be trusted. There are far too many stories on this forum and others about salespeople who have no clue about the products they’re selling and service departments that outright fabricate information or lie to cover their...

Extended Warranty Breakdown -- best value to worst & cost per year

Did he supply you with the cost for each tier? I actually bought my truck from Greenfield Toyota. The interesting part is he is a separate business from the dealership who quoted me a lot more than Troy can sell for.

Tariffs On Products From Mexico [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, ONLY POLICY DISCUSSIONS]

Well, I guess I'm shocked. Some quick thoughts: Toyota will do the right thing and absorb the tariff for any customer who has a vehicle on order that might be impacted. In the short term, they'll cover the cost while seeking an exemption—or, forget that, they'll just pass it on immediately.

Air dam removal from my 2024 Tacoma - process & photos

I don't even notice it. I'll keep it for the winter and possibly remove it during the warmer months.

Hell, I take the fake V8 sound from the Charger! I miss that from my Tundra!

    Describe your transmission behavior.

    You ain't kidding. It's like a drug.

    Describe your transmission behavior.

I felt it once or twice but it's not consistent. I will say this truck makes more whirling, clicking, whining, tapping, thunking noises then any other vehicle I have owned. But nothing that I felt was an issue. It's certainly not a Lexus.

There are plenty of corded scan tools available that will do what you need. No subscription needed but more expensive.

    2024 vs 2025

I have a Week 48 build, and the 2025 models started production in Week 50. My truck is perfect. If you can find a 2024 model that meets your requirements and isn’t affected by the TSB, just go ahead and buy it. My story about waiting for a truck is well-known on this forum; you’ll be fine.

TERRIBLE gas mileage on new Tacoma TRD OR

I know; I was just pointing it out for context. I’ve found that around 35 PSI is the sweet spot—balancing less rolling resistance, ride quality, and avoiding premature tire wear. Quick update from my previous post: I averaged 19.9 MPG over 220 miles, mostly on the interstate.

    4WD Drive Modes - Explanation

There’s something to be said for old-school setups. Before I sold my Tundra, I had to spend a significant amount of money to fix the 4WD because the center actuator stopped working. Toyota charges $1,800 for the actuator (made by Aisin), but I found the exact same part on Amazon for $400 under...

That's not a current Tacoma. In regards to your question, probably not.

    JBL is a mess.

Both of my Lexuses have the Mark Levinson systems, which, in itself, gets a lot of hate on the Lexus forums. However, it’s still superior to the JBL system. I mentioned in another thread that having a 3-band EQ on a 'premium' system is ridiculous. I used to be in the 'good enough' camp until I...
