It can't be changed, as far as I know and I actually think it makes sense the way Toyota programs it, to be honest.

I'm glad you figured it out and that it ended up being nothing...best case scenario :) But the fact the dealer said it's normal, is bullshit. To me, that was laziness on their part for not wanting to figure it out.

Sounds like its a mixed review. Some say yes, some say no. So basically, just do whatever makes you feel comfortable. Personally, I've lived in NY my entire life and never got any car or truck undercoated nor did anyone I know. No one, including myself, has ever had any issues so I'll continue...

This is pretty much spot on in terms of a quick "how-to". I would double down on the "prep" part. Don't underestimate the value of preparing whatever you're dipping. It takes longer to prep than to spray and if you cut any corners, you'll see it afterwards so take your time.
