I'm one of those people. Abused 2011 Accord in the driveway with 140k trouble free miles. Abused 2006 Silverado at work with 130k trouble free miles. Best friend has a SUPER abused 2009 Corolla with 280k trouble free miles, it lived in a yard for 4 years at one point without being touched. As a...
That looks terrible, probably a lack of grease like others have said. I've put seat covers on almost every vehicle I've owned and never seen rust under a single one of them. Haven't owned a German vehicle, just the big 3 and Japanese.
Mine never did come back up and my tonneau didn’t affect it any. Yours looks bad, I hope they take care of it for you. I traded in already & went back to a V8 Tundra.
The new Tundra's also have this issue. The only person I found to have fixed it, unzipped the seat back and lubed the metal rails that the lumbar moves on with a clear silicon grease. Then he moved the lumbar up and down to work it in. Everything else including having the dealer replace parts...
I'm waiting for the next Toyota sale to grab one for mine. It's currently $293 no tax, free shipping. 15% off would bring it down to a reasonable price.
I hear you on that. Two weeks ago I had to put my gramma's Accord on the ramps after the dealer replaced her AC and she heard something dragging the ground. Under car plastics were only half connected and not installed properly. When I took them off, the plastic behind the grill just fell out...
I'm not educated enough on the 2024 taco but I know with the previous gen Tundra, once they removed the proper cooler in 2019. Manually selecting a lower gear for higher rpms helped with the trans cooling. I also don't know under what situations the torque converter will lock but keeping it...
Sure, this is the one someone else recommended and it worked great.

I second the idea of adding PPF to that rear area. I ordered some clear 3M from Amazon, a small squeegee and an exacto knife. Measure, cut, spray a water/soap mixture and apply. Took me about 3-4 tries for each side but it turned out great & only cost me like $30. It’s pretty dang invisible so...
Are you certain it’s the speaker? I just chased down my rattle in the passenger door yesterday that only rattles with some good bass. Try this, with the door closed and a song that makes it rattle, push on the right side of the trim piece that has “TRD” on it. If that stops the rattle, then a...
Wow that looks great! Do these just go on with no issue? I always see lots of Tundra owners dumping their stock wheels, would love to grab a deal and do this too.
Even though you will be out money that you shouldn't have to pay. I'd take it to a Firestone store and get them to diagnose the tire/balance issue. As bitflogger mentioned, you could then use that as ammo for a replacement at the dealer. 99% betting it's a bad tire.
I recently got some new...
Could be placebo but I feel like it's quieter halfway through this tank of 89 no ethanol compared to the 87 with ethanol I had been using. In the mornings, I back out of my shop and then have to get out to pull down and lock the shop door which is when I notice it the most. Might be coincidence...
I know how you feel. It's all a guess at this point but if youtuber's are to be believed, they mentioned 300 on backorder with Toyota as info from a dealer. Add 100 from NHTSA and forums and other folks who don't post about it. 400ish down with 100k sold is like .5% of total sales as a failure...
