Rest assured that prices are going to go significantly, also add to that the increases to insurance costs.

It will go up, then back down, then up, then down...just like mortgage rates. Don't fall for the 24hr news cycle. They need something to talk about. IT'S NOT NEWS, IT'S OPINIONS MOST OF THE TIME.

So my 2024 Sport will go up, then. Glad I got it last April instead of waiting till this year.

Some of the Tacoma's are already made here in the states (CA). All Toyota has to do is move the ones currently being made in Mexico to the states and problem solved.

All Tacomas are "assembled in Mexico", split between the Baja California facility, in Tijuana, Mexico and the second facility is the Toyota Motor Manufacturing de Guanajuato.

I’m curious what’s going to happen. I put down a deposit a couple weeks ago on a 2025 that was “in production.” I specifically asked the dealer about the threatened tariffs. Of course the salesman said nothing to worry about. I insisted on the price in writing. If they raise it a nickel, I’m out. I’ll just wait for a used one that I like.

Is the $80k Tacoma on the horizon?
I have no idea as to what the 4 th Gens will cost here in Canada after the tariffs but I paid all of that in CAN. 💰 last year with all the taxes and a few extras I got with my Sport Premium. 😀. The horizon up here wil see a $100k middle of the road model Tacoma for sure. It is what it is. I’m glad I got mine when I did. Just my 2 cents Canadian!!!🤪

Companies may try to hold down on price increases in the short term, but that is not sustainable and they will pass along increased costs, spread throughout their product line. So, even if your vehicle were to be solely built in the US with US made parts. The price will still increase to offset the increased costs associated with other models that are not wholy produced in the US. Tarrifs are inflationary by nature.
