Hi All,

I have Toyo Open Country AT3s (285/70R17) on my OR. I don’t have a lift or levelling kit. If I get some 1.25” Spidertrax spacers, do you think they will rub?

Thank you,

No I don’t think it will rub. I have 17x8 +20 wheels with 285/70R17 tires which is 1.6” further out than stock and I don’t rub at all. Stock suspension too.

I have the exact tires on 17 inch factory wheels on my Off Road with 1 inch Spidertrax spacers. There was no rubbing and it definitely beefed up the look.
You might want to check the specs on the 1.25" spacers. Spidertrax makes that size with the larger centerbore (106mm) for the older Tacomas. Their one inch spacer comes with the proper 95mm centerbore for the 4th gen.

Here's a pic of mine while it still had the front spoiler, and before the Westcott lift.

Thank you so much for the reference pic, that looks absolutely awesome! Also thanks for the tip regarding the centrebore! Will email them before buying.
Quick question for you… did you notice any impact on kicking up rocks? Did you leave the stock mud flaps and fender flares on? I know 1-1.25” shouldn’t have a huge difference but I don’t want to be cracking other peoples windshields or dinging my own bodywork if I can avoid it.

i have the same running boards and Canadian mudflaps as you. There's a bit more spay from the aggressive tires and extra width, but not terrible.
I did put ppf on the front portion of the rear fenders shortly after buying the truck, as they take a beating even in stock configuration. (since you are also from Calgary- it was Shadow Tinting on Macleod Trail. $100 per side if i remember correctly)
Cheers!
