wow lived in Novato almost 30 years , never knew about them , only had Toyotas so never needed parts . what is your opinion on Novato Toyota ?

I have purchased 10 Toyota vehicles
From novato Toyota over the past 17 years for my fleet. Novato Toyota is also a good customer of mine and their parts dept staff is great. The only disappointment I have had with Novato Toyota was with the phone call for my first service on my 24 Tacoma. I asked the person that called me if the oil is changed at 5000 miles and she said that this would be done since I paid for a service plan… well, when I brought my truck in, they do not change my oil and the service writer advised me that my truck has synthetic oil… Indidnt want to berate the person by telling her what I do and how I know far more about tribology than she does.. I told her to do what they do and I would have an independent shop change my oil- so after that I drive back to work and had a guy next door change my oil and also thr viscosity to 5w30 synthetic-since T24A-FTS engines call for this oil in European markets. Other than that, Novato Toyota has been great!!! And that problem is minor and just a communication error between the person that called me, and the policy they abide by with the service plan they sold me. Not the end of the world.

They seem alright IMO. Except they low balled the hell out of my 2021 Tacoma when I was interested in trading it in for a 2024. I went up to Freeman Toyota and got offered $4.5k more and got my new truck from them.

yeah i got a highlander from them a returned lease ( pandemic buy )all toyota b 4 that i got were from SF Toyota , I tried to get a 24 taco from Novato but limited inventory & lack of discounts
I was quite happy with Marin Toyota no hassel no up selling add ons , extended warranty bs they let me rewrite the contract to move funds around & lower my monthly .I like the parts dept
SF Toyota now owns Novato Toyota
oddly SF Toyota parts discounts accessory & parts & Novato doesn't al all , I asked why & got a blank stare
Marin Toyota discounts parts as well
been building up my Tacoma lol

that happened to me low balled a highlander 07 trade in $500.... carmax bought it out right for $3000
that was when i got the 2018 highlander on a lease return in 2021 when new cars were scarce

oh yeah ! I will b there......I should have most of my new mods installed by then , Kevin @ Nave motors in Novato is adding black fender flairs, fang lights ,side steps ,blk exhaust tip on friday after Xmas . . I got way over charged by Novato Toyota doing some mods on that 2018 Highlander .$450 for installing 4 door edge guards & tailgate rub strip ! classic Stealership behavior !
