2024 Tacoma Key Fob Trunk Button Fail

I recently went to my local dealership at Fox Toyota in El Paso, Texas and I came across an issue on a 2024 Tacoma TRD Off Road Premium that was not opening when I held the button down on the key fob. Not only did this happen when on the key but pushing the button from the driver side cabin was not working.
i posted a short on my YouTube channel in case anyone ever comes across this issue before leaving the dealership with a new Tacoma.

I think you can turn that off in the truck's settings. That's probably what it is.

Yes, you can change it in settings in the instrument cluster, I discovered that over the weekend. I've had my TRD OR for 2 months now and could never get the tailgate to automatically close, only open from the switches on the tail lights and center latch on the tailgate itself. When I turned on the option in settings, I can now open AND close from all sources; Keyfobs, tail light switches, center latch on tailgate & the switch panel to the left of the steering wheel.
