If you apply your money towards a TRD OR you would have the electric locker that can be all-important plus some other features that are really nice. In my experience as a former guide, trail builder and ski area crew I have seen and see people do stuff that looks cosmetic and there have been lots of times when I've had to deal with their needing a rescue other vehicles didn't need.
Not so much about performance but my wife thought the seating was superior of you make that jump and not even with the upgrade or premium packages.
If you're putting in a third party or after market locker or axle then maybe the strategy makes more sense to me.
