No it won’t rub. If it does, your alignment is out.Does this size tire fit on a SR5 with no lift? Like will it rub at full turn if you’re doing a U-turn?
Sending tonight - I redid itLink please?
Thanks!!Great video And awesome looking setup there my friend.
Possibly dumb question but what if I had 0 offset. Would I have to trim or remove the safety bracket? No it won’t rub. If it does, your alignment is out.
Not a dumb question at all. Experience is the only way to figure out offsets. One of the first guys on the forum to do aftermarket wheels last year went 0 offset with 285/70R17 on stock suspension and yes, it did rub. You’ll probably need 1.5” lift in the front or take off the crash plate for it not to rub. Most guys who are doing 285/70R17 with stock suspension are going with a +20 to 25 offset wheel.Possibly dumb question but what if I had 0 offset. Would I have to trim or remove the safety bracket?
Not sure - but the more negative the more likely to rubPossibly dumb question but what if I had 0 offset. Would I have to trim or remove the safety bracket?
Looks really good! I ended up ordering some +25 relations race wheels. They come next week. I only have 265/70 tires (regret) but I’m definitely going to get bigger ones sooner I think because it’s bothering me lol #bigtireenvyI went 285/70/17 Wildpeak AT4’s on the stock Off-Road wheels and they fit without rubbing. Then went to a 17x8 +15 with the same 285/70/17’s and added a 1.5inch peak suspension spacer only in the front to level it out a bit while still maintaining about 3/4in of front rake. Still no rub at all with the new RRW’s.

Yeah, in my opinion, Toyota should have sent the offroads out with a 285 from the factory. Perfectly proportional to the truck’s size and they fit within the wheel wells with ease with the factory suspension geometry. I think you will find 285’s in the very near future. I’m already wanting 35’s and a proper lift. There always seems to be a “next step”Looks really good! I ended up ordering some +25 relations race wheels. They come next week. 285s should have been standard. On my trailhunter the 265s looked like racing bicycle tires. Now it fills up those fender flares nicely and looks proportional to how wide the truck is. 33” is still kinda small looking but it’s a good baseline. 35s would look killer.Yeah, in my opinion, Toyota should have sent the offroads out with a 285 from the factory.
