Keep an eye out for more wear in the center of the tire. I was running 40 on my 285/70R17 Toyo R/Ts and the outside of the tread wasnāt even touching the road on the rear tires. Iām running between 30-35psi now and it seems to be better.I am running 40 on my KO3, 285/70/17. Called the manufacturer and was told that that is the optimal for our truck. Rides is a tad bouncy, but will help in maxing out the tread life of the tire per manufacturer. I am just winging it and going by what they said, hoping they are right.
Yeah 40 is way high. Load tables point to 30 for SL and 35 for C/E load.
I personally think that 40 is on the high side. I just went by what I was told for it was the manufacturer who gave me those numbers. After reading what you said, I will have to do the chalk test now I suppose, to see what the ideal numbers are for me.
