I have a 2024 Trailhunter. I am interested in installing ditch lights.
And have prewired aux switches to use.

1. Anyone done this yet? If so, any write ups?
2. Anyone swapped the actual in dash switch? I'd be intereste in installing one that said "ditch" instead of "aux" on the surface.

Cheers,
Daus

I would be interested as well. I’ve heard that the lights may interfere with the snorkel and hood opening.

Did it on my Trailhunter. I used the front harness, that’s right behind the driver side headlight. It can be hard to find at first, as it’s under some other wiring. I used Aux 3. This isn’t really a write up, but I’m not sure what else there is to say.

Same as the post above, except I used AUX 1. Running the wires in the engine bay is the hardest part. I used the same pigtail connector behind the driver's side headlight.

As for interference with the snorkel, depends on the size of your ditch lights. I would think anything under 3" will be fine. My 3" Rough Country Osrams barely fit while the hood is opened to the first notch (see pic). On the second notch - the one where the hood is open higher (not shown), it will definitely touch. If you're worried about someone accidentally accidently knocking the ditch light into the snorkel, you can try taping the second hole shut with some black duct tape or electrical tape. If it did happen, I don't think it would do any damage, but it would definitely mess up the position of the light in the housing.

Thanks for your reply. Just got my CaliRaisedLED Ditch Light set... and as I brought the box inside to unpack it, I realized that the snorkel might interfere. I wrote a message to them and then saw your message above. Will post something when I figure this out.

Hello, this is my first rodeo. I just received my caliraiseled ditch lights and would like to know, where would I connect the wires to the battery when the battery is under the backseat? I appreciate any help on this matter?

I think Cali said to wire to the fuse box under hood. Check with Cali. I have not wired mine in yet but I think that is what I was told...

While I have not wired them in yet, I installed the ditch lights and brackets along with a Redline strut kit. I posted the hood hinge bolts that I recommend using (M8x25 or M8x30 with washer) if you do both. Those two brackets add 8.14mm of thickness. While you might use OEM bolts for one, if you do both I do not believe the stock M8x20mm is sufficient to safely mount both brackets under them.

My CaliRaised bracket cleared the snorkel by a small amount, but did not touch or come close. It is solid so there is no problem in my opinion. Cannot speak to other brackets. Also, CR makes clear to use THEIR bolt to mount the light bracket onto the hood hinge bracket as the ones that come with the lights themselves are too long and may damage your truck. You do use the light bolts to attach each light to its mount (one on each side of light).
