What pressure are you running them at?

I swear they are getting harder and harder. It pains me to return them to discount tire because they kick ass in every other way - super quiet, super awesome grip in dry and wet, look great, perfect perfect size (33.43” with 9.3” wide tread), super durable … they just smash by nuts constantly. Someone told me once that Falkens just ride harder and these HDs are meant to last a 60K miles on 3/4 ton trucks .. I figure that’s why I’m getting kicked in the nuts every day

Yeah that’s pretty close to where I’m running mine. I’m sorry you’re having those issues. Maybe I have a higher tolerance to bumps but I am very impressed how the stock TRD Off-road suspension rides even with the E tires. I have the same size winter tire in SL on right now and it’s maybe a touch quieter and smoother but it is marginal.

Maybe I have a higher tolerance to bumps but I am very impressed how the stock TRD Off-road suspension rides even with the E tires. I have the same size winter tire in SL on right now and it’s maybe a touch quieter and smoother but it is marginal.
My TH shocks are quite good. I really think these tires are weird. I don’t know what it is. I’m thinking to switch to the Nokian outposts and shave off 6 pounds. They cannot possibly ride worse. I’m just hesitant to go to an SL tire on such a capable off-road vehicle. Seems like a waste. I wouldn’t feel good camping for 3 days in west Texas with standards.

How are the road manners of the Toyo R/Ts? How are they in the wet?

My 10 plys are awesome in every way except they knock me around driving to work. Even the gas mileage is good! My complaint is they are like riding on concrete balls.
I got some time on the Nokian Outpost NAT’s SL. They are definitely a ride firmer than the factory tires. I’ve finally settled with 35psi on the front 33 on the rear. Been some shit weather so mpgs are down about 2 really won’t know for sure the true impact until summer fuel blend comes back? I also pre ordered RRW monoforged wheels 18-19lbs! That should almost negate the extra weight. They don’t sling rocks as bad as the OEM tires, far better on snow and ice, handling feels better, they do however have a slight growl at higher speed, not bad but noticeable, it has gotten better the last 3-400 miles.

If the Nokian SLs are firmer then the Nokian Es might also be ball bashers.. Jesus I didn’t thinking picking tires would be so challenging. Was thinking to get the grabbers in SL but not feeling it.

What size are the Nokians? Got pictures? How firm is the ride ?

I could go with 285/65/18 Falkens in SL but they are going to look tiny on the TH

I’d agree with you there, I wouldn’t venture too far off-road with SL tires, especially in a TH.

This is my first set of E rated tire, my last two sets were D rated KO2s and they were really good too.
