I had a question about dimensional differences between a 5’ and 6’ bed.
I have a 6’ bed. But I also have the cargo divider pushed up close to the cab. I’m using it as a toolbox. So essentially it’s cutting about a foot out of my bed.
My question is whether the beds have the same dimensions from the tailgates in with respect to the wheel wells ect. I want to buy a bedmat but I’m thinking of buying a 5 foot mat instead of a 6 footer. Reasoning being I have the OEM tonneau. It pushes the bed rail and cargo divider down enough that I don’t think the bed mat will fit under it.
I think the 5 foot and 6 foot beds are identical from the tailgate in and the extra foot is between the end of the wheelwell and the cab. So a 5 foot mat should serve my purpose perfectly.
Hopefully this makes sense and someone can fill in this blank for me.
Thanks in advance.
