5 pin Power for Uniden R7 (Solved)

Hey guys - I just picked up my '24 TRD Off-Road Premium. I need to connect my Uniden R7 radar detector. I was curious about this 5 pin adapter I see from dongar instead of running the add of circuit to the fuse box. Is the 5 pin an always hot setup or hot only when the truck is running? As in, I do not want to turn the radar detector on/off every time, so I am hoping it's hot only when the truck is running.

Solved - I used the Dongar 5pin and then a USB to RJ11 adapter adapter above. It turns on/off with the car. No issues! Thanks!

Then a USB-A to RJ11 cable step up cable (5v to 12v)?

Update - I think I need 12v for the R7. I am curious if you have any tips here?

Thanks. I understand the need for the 5V to 12V cable. My question is still on the 5pin connector always hot or hot only when the key is on? I dont want to manually turn off/on the radar detector. Thank you!
