I've applied the Glasparency coating in the past and it lasted over two years, regular hand washes and their spray on boost. I'm not claiming it lasts 5 years either. But I'm giving it a try. It was definitely easy to apply and then a benefit too. I don't know if anybody these has been around long enough to prove that. Not trying to be an ass, but honestly there is not one product today that is believable that you put on a vehicle and it lasts 2+ years. Took a look at the site and they offer an 8 year one? Insane.
There appears to be no warranty coverage with this either? I’m a fan of ceramic coatings, but I’m using high quality options like AmmoNyc, and I applied it every 1-2 years on my other cars.
Even with other manufacturers with insane claims on life expectancy, they usually follow up with specific maintenance items. Which when you pay a detailer (or include your time) you might as well just have recoated down the line.
If/when the coating starts to fail I'll apply a new one. Probably something else just to see. No to get too workup over though. For me, I'm looking for something that'll give me a few good years, it is really easy to apply and doesn't break the bank. Are there better coatings out there, of course.
