Just did a drive out in the foothills and the route had some fairly decent washboard in spots. The hood (most noticeable near the windshield as I was staring right at it in utter amazement) shook a lot, and at times was moving more than a 1.5” up and down. I swear I could see the engine at one point. I knew it flexed a bit under normal driving, but this was next level.
Some people here have said they added rubber “dynamat” type stuff to the hood or weather stripping and found some improvements.
Since I have the 6M, I don’t have the sound proofing layer, but I doubt that affects the shake all that much.
Has anyone found a solid fix for this? Like adding a brace or something?
