So I have a one year old, bought new 2023 SR dc 4x4 that got totaled and am getting only $1k under what I paid for it out the door brand new, I put a deposit down instantly on a 2024 SR 4x4 in black that is coming in 4-6 weeks, now I read that the 4 cyl in the SR is gimped to provide WORSE torque and HP than the v6 did in my 2023. also no oil cooler and intercooler in the SR and I am paying almost 5k more(after taxes, will be owning outright) and getting NO MPG benefits(was getting 22mpg combined in my 2023 in the city with stock tires). I am thinking about just buying a rav4 hybrid or something and just use it for my daily for the next few years and sell it once the 4th gen has had more time to get the kinks worked out. Has anyone actually drove the 2024 SR and felt how it drives can give me their opinion? I thought the v6 was reliable but obviously slow, I cant image a modern engine with lower HP/Torque in a modern truck.

I am blown away by this and dissapointed but atleast I found all of this out now and can make my decision before the truck gets here.

I have not driven an SR, but the torque on these trucks is much higher at lower RPM than the 3rd gen trucks because of the turbo.

It doesn't sound like you need a pickup, anywho.
