In line amplifier is what this is I think. It just plug and play with your factory infotaiment. I used to have pretty elaborate systems for my prior gen tacos and was tired of spending thousands of dollars and now I want to watch what I spend on. This was about $300. I think it is worth it. since I SPENT money on it. JK. I really think was worth the money, only draw back is it created a lot of rattle when bass was turned up. So had to sound deadened the all doors to keep the rattle down. Check it out, budget build.

Explain how you sound deadened the doors >
I would imagine that he took the panels off and added sound deadening material to the frame.

I stuck it on to the door inner panel which is the out skin, as much as I could and put it on behind the door panel as well. The sound deadening make a huge difference in sound quality

Any info on the install? Did you have to run power through the firewall to the battery (usually a PITA). What about getting access to the head unit? Did you use it with the 14in infotainment? $300 to make the stock stereo sound much better seems like a no brainer If the install is an easy DIY.

I also am interested in difficulty of removing door panels. I think this beats sonic and an upgrade of the six interior speakers will be my extent of stereo upgrade. Would like to do install myself and I can’t even find what size the six speakers in my SR model are I was kind waiting till more info was available and people did upgrading to learn what to do.

The whole process is very easy. Took me like 10 min to remove panel, 30 mi per door to put in sound deadening, and the deck was like 10 min to pull off. Very simple. You tube should have all the info on how to remove the door card and infotament. The door card was so easy that they had a female do it with long nails and all. I should have also thought about replacing the the speaker but this was all in whim and wasnt prepared and something I did cause I had left over from other taco.
