I love the way the Sports Rack looks on my Trailhunter. I'm thinking of modifying the rack so that I can mount it on a retractable tonneau.
What would be the recommendations for the best retractable tonneau with T-Rails or similar that can handle this or an HD beck rack in the future?

We have had best luck with the Retrax XR. The Pro or One is fine. Roll N Lock is fine as well, but we like the fit and finish of Retrax a bit more.

Any other recommendations? I'd like a little better weight rating than the One and the Pro is more than I'd want to spend on an unknown if I can make this work.

You plan to put more than 250 lbs on the deck of the cover? I'm not aware of a retractable bed cover in that price point with more weight capacity.

Not on the cover its self, just the rails in case I move from the sports rack to a full HD rack for a RTT.

What is the weight capacity of the rails on the XR one? I think we have had over 300lbs on one in serious offroad conditions without any issues.

I can't find the spec from Real Truck, but eTrailer says the rails can handle 500 lbs dynamic load. Which is more than the truck bed sides can handle realistically.

Sounds good. I don’t see long bed availability yet. Any other brands / options you know of?

Granted, it’s not a Tonneau cover, but I went with the Decked drawer system. It does help with wind resistance and has a lot of secure storage space. I like the sport/chase rack & the Decked system seemed like the best option.

Was thinking about going Decked but very disappointed in their approach to dealing with power and air compressor. At their price, they should have a better solution.

I like how compact and streamline the Roll-n-Lock cover is (XT versions contains t-slot rails). It's the smallest canister footprint and when it's fully open the leading edge is completely flush, not loosing additional headroom in the bed. Locks at 3 positions and not once have I had an issue with the power tailgate interaction.

Challenge in your setup is that the sport bar is more forward - where the canister mounts, so there's no rail that far up.

@Baltimore I like the look of that. Do you know the T-rail weight capacity? I can't seem to find note of it on RealTruck. Not sure if I can adapt the Sports Rack to it but might be worth a try. Thank you.

They list 125lbs for the cover area itself for setting things on top of it

When I asked the chat agent about t-slot limit, they said it's only dictated by the accessory spec your mounting and their ratings.

You
at 12:40, Dec 10:
can you tell me what the weight limit is for the MaxTrak Rail System on the Roll-n-Lock XT covers?

d'Arcy S
at 12:45, Dec 10:
Whatever rack system you go with will be the weight limit on that.

You
at 12:46, Dec 10:
so no need to worry about crush on your system?

d'Arcy S
at 12:46, Dec 10:
From what Roll-N-Lock just told me apparently not.
