Best well rounded roof rack with light bar?

Ever since I got my Tacoma last year been wanting a bed rack but I need to keep my tonneau cover and atm no one makes one compatible with it so moving to a roof rack.

my main goals are something not too expensive that has a light bar and solid mounting points for either an awning or roof
Top tent.

Course all the main ones I see is prisnu and cali raised.
Honestly the cali raised one looks amazing. Has all the things. Roof rack with a nice light bar that can be hidden to help with wind noise. Accessory mounting points. Side light cut outs and can get one with the wiring harness and buttons to wire into the cab.

Only problem is it comes in right around 2k for it all and honestly while I can do some stuff, the electrical I’ll have to get someone to do so add even more for labor.

Seeing if any other recommendations. Wind noise I am trying to keep low but also understand that’s just the cost of having. A roof rack and a light bar is a must.

I do. The factory trifold tonneau and love it. Debated changing but seems like a waste for
A bed rack since the cover works amazingly well.

Billie bars months ago customer service said they’re working on an adapter for theirs to work with the factory cover but it’s been awhile and I don’t see that happening anytime soon

We have had a customer or two pull off our T-Series racks with the Factory Bed Cover.

Two holes drilled in the utility rail per upright was all this customer needed to do.

So regarding the Cali Raised… I just got mine in with the light bar. I went with it because I liked the style and how the light bar was integrated so well into the rack. Plus the light bar itself is not insanely over priced and looks pretty sharp.

Putting it together on the floor in my living room as we speak. I am debating if I should continue. The hardware is NOT stainless. The black washers are slightly too large for the hardware so they don’t center perfectly. While they have videos online they have no printed instructions so you need to stop and start the video constantly.


I am now debating if I want to stop assembly and order the stainless hardware from a third party. If I do that I’ll likely buy it in bulk and make a kit I can sell online to make a couple bucks.

It’s unacceptable that this gear does not have all the hardware as stainless. When I sold my Jeep I was amazed at all the rust stains on the paint from my roof rack. $70k for this truck so I will replace the hardware I can for sure and will need to keep the hardware I can’t (the compression welded threaded rod on the movable LED cover) well lubed.

You can get the SS hardware at any decent hardware store.. I know you shouldn’t have to pay extra but that’s how some venders work.. they have your money

That’s a lot of hardware. All the black washers and screws are all regular steel. Since the washers are the wrong size they really should be replaced anyway. Or at least for people with OCD.

I like how on their installation video they tell you where the roof screws go that you “can use silicone if you want to”.

I also had to drill out the holes on the light bar because they were too close together and you couldn’t fit the second screw in
