Just got my 5K mile service. My front pads are 10mm thick and rear are 8mm. I think the fronts start at 12.5mm but cannot confirm. No idea where the rears start. If the fronts are already 20% gone I’ll only get to 25,000 miles before needing to replace them.

Anyone know how thick the front and rear pads are on hybrids specifically- and what’s a typical thickness at 5k? Part of me thinks the dealership just made up numbers.

I’m not asking how thick my pads are (I know how thick they are today, after 5200 miles). Asking how thick they are from the factory, so I can get a sense for how fast I’m wearing them down.

You mentioned that you think the dealer might have fabricated the numbers; therefore, get a gauge, take your own measurements, and then visit a dealer to measure a new truck for comparison.
