Cali Raised Rock Sliders Step Edition (Self-install guide)

I wound up using most of the hardware except for the M8 bolts. After I finished the original “install” of the sliders, I was unable to fit a few of the M10 bolts without modifying the flanges a tiny bit, and the bracket with the snap nut was unusable as well. So in the picture, about half of the hardware leftover was eventually used. Which version did you buy? I’m actually kinda shocked looking at what you have there vs what I had. I don’t know if it’s better or worse.

I got the step edition with a bed liner top plate. Yea looking at your list made me wonder if I was shorted some hardware too. But since the frame plate isn’t an L bracket, I guess there’s less hardware needed. Hopefully they respond quickly cause I want to install it soon.

Thanks for confirming the design. That's annoying you had to shave the grounding tab to make it fit. Not sure why the gap tolerance is so tight for that piece.

Can you tell me what the single piece square nut is used for? Their instructions on their site has it for parts that I don't have. I received 5 regular nuts and 1 square nuts. I'm assuming it's for one of the 6 longer bolts but don't know which ones and where.

I had a couple bolts missing, I think it was the longest one that was needed. Cali Raised sent it out real quick once I informed them. Seems like their packaging is inconsistent but they do make it right pretty quickly in my experience.

I got mine installed last week just wanted to share my experience. Cali Raised released an updated install video on their YouTube page with their current design and hardware so it helped a bit.

I did not have any hold alignment issues.

The hole where the ground wire goes on my sliders also were not wide enough for the ground wire to go back on flushed. I didn't have the tools to shave down the side so I installed it the best I could and set it a little crooked and on top of the plate instead of the frame.

I also had my washer plate bend a little for the ones in the middle of the sliders on both sides. I believe this is because the hold is a larger square hole that does not distribute the force of the plate well enough and the plate is basically sinking into the larger hole. It didn't matter if the plate was vertical or horizontal. They told me the torque spec is 37ft-lb for the M10 bolts and 55ft-lbs for the 1/2" bolts. These plates were bending as I got it to 50ft-lbs so I left it there.

I did it by myself on a lift and it took about 2.5 hours but I was a newbie and had family distracting me at the time. You can probably get it on faster if you're familiar with tools.
