Hi Folks,

My caster angle on my Trailhunter from left to right is slightly off (by a tiny amount) because my tire is closer to rubbing at full lock on the driver side than the passenger side with my slightly larger than OEM tires (33.4” versus 32.6”). This makes me think caster is slightly different between left and right.

It’s not an issue but I’m thinking to bump up to 34” tires. I would like to get an alignment beforehand to balance out the caster and maybe push the positive caster out (WITHIN spec) to see if I can get more room and make them even from left to right.

Anyone know the acceptable caster range and whether it makes any real difference in tire clearance? Small differences in caster is why I think people have such varying luck fitting larger tires.

Also I think I’m going to go to a specialty shop versus the dealer. If I tried to discuss caster spec with a tech there they would look at me blankly. I’ve tried to discuss far simpler concepts with a complete blank stare unfortunately.
