Just for reference, here’s mine with 1.5 inches of front lift.
I don’t think yours looks bad at all. Sucks that it’s leaking, just clean it and watch? Maybe tighten the clamp with a CV boot clamp tool? Definitely wouldn’t replace the entire axel unless it’s dry or dirt gets in it.

Thanks MT-Taco. I found a small pinhole tear in my boot. I'm not sure If I moved everything at a bad angle during my coilover install ,but I am going the route of ordering a new bootkit. The axle hasn't given me any trouble at all even with leaking some grease.

Chloe Kuo just dropped a video where they did just that. Just an FYI. They do mention refilling the cv joint grease and dropping the front diff mount.

I watched this video and the guy from Icon kinda brushes over the diff drop not being as much of a problem on TRD off roads. That makes some sense as I was looking into replacing the CV axle or just the boot and every part I find is either W/TRD or W/O TRD.

Question on this as I'm not knowledgeable in this area at all. Are you saying that the diff drop is not necessary for the lift or are you saying he didn't emphasize that it's necessary enough?

THANKS!

So just based on my interpretation of the video, he seems like he's trying to say anything other than the OR and up needs this diff drop when lifted (as in lower trims). To me it wasn't clear if it's needed and after reading a bunch of not so good reviews from vibrations with the Icon kit I rather not add more confusion to my issues. What I will say is that I ordered a new boot kit that has been delayed for a month or so. I'm convinced I made the hole when lifting the control arm to compress the shock. In the meantime, I got a gasket maker resin and applied it on the small pinhole I found and I have had zero issues since. I plan on replacing the boot for good measure. I also got a chance to get under a trail hunter at a dealership and well the CV angle is about the same. The trail hunter had a rather extreme looking angle as some commented on here from the factory. So I'm pretty convinced the CV angle is within range particularly since I've done a few road trips since and had no issues at all even before replacing the boot.

Hmm, interesting. I went back to re-watched that part and my understanding is that he said it's less of an issue on the off-road and up but it seems to me, based on what he said that it's probably necessary, just less necessary on off-road and up. Just my two cents from what he said, but I'm definitely out of my depth as far as real-world knowledge on something like this. Glad you got your issue resolved though. That was the whole point of this thread!

Yeah from what I've understood from my research not very many people have used that Icon diff drop kit when lifting the 4th gen and if they have I've read nothing but issues until one of the threads on a different forum said they reached out to Icon directly and they were told additional instructions when installing to properly get the kit to sit flush. I've read "vibrating" issues. My thoughts are that my truck isn't lifted much more than a trail hunter or a TRD pro if at all, King didn't recommend needing the kit, and ultimately my stupidity when doing the install is what caused the small hole. I will not be installing the Icon kit. I'd encourage you to go to a dealership and get under a pro or a trail hunter just to get an idea of what the CV angles look like. I also plan on putting a steel front bumper and a winch so that will bring it down a bit (fingers crossed).
