Hey all,

I know there are a few threads about the Diamondback Switchback tonneau covers. But in every single image I see with these covers on gen 4 Tacomas, it looks like the back sticks up quite a bit when it’s closed. Like it doesn’t fit well. Can anyone explain why they look like that? Is it just a thick and squishy weather strip, or does it actually have a fit issue? Because a friend of mine has one on a Silverado and it lays pretty clean and flat when it’s closed. If I’m going to spend $2k on a tonneau, I expect it to be perfect. So now I’m hesitating.

Usually it’s a combination of because they initially tightened the center clamps too much before the weather stripping has time to conform to the pressure

Because the center panel has no clamp. So it kind of floats upward probably. One of the reasons I’m getting the HD.
