AHHHH that's good to know, though I'd still want to verify the new model is the same or different than the one you have.We have the Toyota 360 camera setup in our Rav4 Prime. I'm guessing the setup in the new Tacoma will be similar. It is no where near the same resolution as the Tesla, and as far as I've seen there is no way to record or export the video from the 360 system. It is not a good exchange for a dashcam, as it only really looks about 2-3 feet out from the edges of the vehicle. We have supplemented ours with a garmin dashcam.
My front camera is 4k, and my rear is 1080p. This is my third BlackVue model because I can 100% trust them to last me 6-7 years until I buy a new car and upgrade it with a newer model with more advanced features. The problem on a truck is the rear window where the camera is mounted is too far forwarded from the rear bumper. A dashcam integrated with the backup camera would be a better option for visibility purposes... but not at the cost of resolution. I may start a separate thread on this.
