Falken Wildpeak A/T4W Actual Weight (285/75/R17)?

Does anyone have actual weights on Falken Wildpeak A/T4W's in 285/75/17 by chance? Falken makes this size in C (6 ply) and E (10 Ply) and they are showing the weight of the 6 ply as more than the 10 ply, which doesn't make much sense to me???

I was actually wondering this myself. I never got an answer, even my tire shop was confused when they went to look.

Either way, I ended up giving the SL A/T4W’s a shot.

Either way, I ended up giving the SL A/T4W’s a shot.
I have an email into Falken, but I am not holding my breath for an answer.

I run GY Duratrac's on all my trucks and currently have them on my 4G in 285/70, but I am thinking of giving these a shot in 285/75.

Oh yeah I went down this rabbit hole. I’m going to do a whole YouTube video on it. The idea that 10 ply rating is always heavier than 6 ply is wrong. It’s not. And it’s not the case with Falken. Ply rating speaks to how much pressure / weight the tire is rated for — not necessarily how tough it is in all cases or how much material is used in the tire (a tire rated for less pressure can still be made as tough with just as much material). All of their tires are built very thick and tough and the E load tire only has stiffer sidewalls and an extra liner but it’s not heavier necessarily. Also - Duraspec is 3 ply and is their toughest tire regardless of load—you’re not really doing yourself any favors getting an E load Duraspec if they also offer the C load Duraspec in the same size. You won’t need the extra weight bearing capacity and you won’t like the ride quality and it won’t be any tougher off-road.

I went with SL because of the weight savings and it’s still tough as balls. My second set of Falkens on different wheels (OEM TH wheels) will be flotation 35” C loads.
