First fillup after purchase and gas overflowed everywhere

Got some gas for the first time after purchasing. I was expecting the gas pump to stop. Instead gas overflowed all over the side of the truck. Took it home and immediately washed the truck. I’m hoping this was a gas pump issue and not something with our tanks not triggering the pump to stop.

Anyone else have this issue?

That’s definitely on the pump. Let the gas station know about it.

I drove by it again as it’s by my house and it looks like they closed that pump off.

Nothing to ignite it. I’m more concerned about the paint. I got it handled though. Not stretched. I was actually talking to a Chevy owner about how I liked the truck.
