@Leo319 Thank you for the diode kit, I ordered that. I'm sorry to be a pest, but I was wondering if you had your measurements for your driveshaft, or your worksheet handy. I believe it's SKU-3, and my measurements were: 71.1875" long, and the caps are 1.125". does that seem similar to yours? I left Bill a message this morning but I haven't heard back from him. My next step will be an email.

Also random, but I'm in Santa Cruz, I see you're in the Monterey Bay Area. đź‘‹

Oh snap! Small world, I’ll look for it and send you a PM. Not a big deal. Sucks that theres not a lot of info on tacomas. I’ve struggled with this since the last gen. I’m in LA for the week, I’ll be back next week and send you those measurements.

@Leo319 Thank you for your assistance with the parts. I ended up ordering and installing:

Roadmaster RM32EQ Direct Connect base plate kit for 2024 Toyota Tacoma: which ended up needing some modification to the bolt holes that go into the stock tow hook mounts. fit perfectly in the slots in the air dam, or you can leave the air dam off. On my limited I had to order .75" rubber plugs for the control arms to eliminate the wind howl by removing the air dam.

Demco Stay-In-Play Duo braking system (this fit perfectly). The 6 pin plug, and break away switch fit perfectly in the lower grill with no modifications.

Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED: RM38FR: I ran the wiring down the passenger side frame rail and I ended up with 1 foot extra by the time I reached the passenger tail light. I happened to have extra to run across the back to the drivers side tail light, but order extra if you're doing a fresh installation.

Remco Driveline Disconnect: I tried to order in aluminum to match stock, but they can only make out of steel. It's being built now.

I will update when the driveline arrives!

That’s awesome! They didn’t have the baseplate available when I did my set up, post a pic once installed if you don’t mind. Curious to see how it comes out.

I had a few folks reaching out on this forum and Dynamax group, glad this thread is helping others.

Hey not sure if I mentioned it, but make sure you deactivate the automatic parking brake on the Tacoma. That will make a mess if left on. I got used to it before I installed everything, but I can see people forgetting about it unless they’re towing frequently.

A little off topic, but check out the NSARV Products tow bar with built in surge brake. I ended up going with that. Very well made and a great warranty.

@Leo319, I got my drive shaft this week, and I installed it. I attempted to install the release lever, but I can't seem to find a good way to get the u-bolt to attach to the rear diff. Do you by chance have any photos of yours installed?

Here is my first attempt at the shift lever. I emailed Bill for ideas. my concern is I don't have enough meat on the top of the rear end for the u-bolt. If it were to slip, it would be catastrophic.

Hey sorry for the delay… yes, I encountered the same issue when they way you have it that’s pretty much as good as it gets. I marked the sides with red paint where the ubolt sits to see if it moved after driving it, but it didn’t. Towed it to Tahoe and back like that.

when I got back, I added a bit of JB weld on top for peace of mind (pics attached). Took a trip to Washington and back, nothing moved.

Heading to Moab toward to the end of next month, I’ll let you know how that goes lol all kidding aside, I didn’t like how it sat either, but appears to be holding up. Time will tell I suppose..
